The clearest enterprise-AI monetization engine in software — we own it and respect the multiple.

Summary

AIP has turned Palantir's ontology into the fastest enterprise-AI adoption curve we track. US commercial is inflecting, the Rule-of-40 sits far above threshold, and no competitor owns the 'AI-in-production' narrative the way Palantir does. We are long the fundamentals while sizing deliberately for the valuation risk.

Business Overview

Palantir sells Foundry and Gotham and the AI Platform (AIP) to commercial and government customers, turning fragmented data into operational decisions. US commercial is the growth frontier; government is the durable base.

Investment Thesis

  1. 01

    AIP is the wedge

Boot-camp-led land-and-expand is compressing sales cycles and driving best-in-class net-dollar retention in US commercial — the segment that reprices the whole story.

  2. 02

    Structural operating leverage

Rule-of-40 well into the 80s. Incremental margins are high because the platform scales without linear headcount, so growth and profitability rise together.

  3. 03

    Category ownership

Palantir owns the deployed-AI category that competitors are still prototyping. Mindshare in enterprise AI is a moat in its own right.

Valuation & Price Target

At north of 50x sales, valuation is the risk — not the thesis. Our $200 target assumes continued ~30%-plus growth and further margin expansion. We hold a core position and trim into parabolic moves rather than chase the tape.

Catalysts

  • US commercial customer-count acceleration
  • Large government and defense awards
  • Margin beats pushing the Rule-of-40 higher
  • Index and flow-of-funds dynamics

Key Risks

  • Multiple compression on any growth wobble
  • Government-revenue lumpiness quarter to quarter
  • Stock-based-compensation dilution

Bottom Line

A great business at a demanding price. Overweight to $200, disciplined on sizing.
